Welcome to Our New PTA President

As we approach Thanksgiving, the Bolton PTA would like to take a moment to express our sincere thanks to Katherine Galle who resigned as PTA President following her election to the Bolton Board of Education.  While we will miss Kate’s dedicated service and leadership, we wish her all of the best in her new role and look forward to working with her in her new capacity!

We are also very thankful to Amy D’Agata who stepped forward to fill the role of PTA President following Kate’s resignation.  At our general membership meeting on November 18, 2013, the PTA members in attendance unanimously approved Amy as the leader of our organization.  For those of you who don’t know Amy, we asked her to share a little bit about herself and her previous experience with the PTA.  Please see her thoughtful answer below and, on behalf of the entire Bolton PTA, welcome to the job, Amy!

Hello, My name is Amy D’Agata and I will be filling the position of Bolton PTA President as Kate Galle takes her place on the Bolton Board of Education. Before I tell you a bit more about me, I would like to start by thanking Kate for her commitment to our town, kids and the PTA. She did an amazing job as Bolton PTA President and I wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.

I am a Registered Nurse and the proud mom of two boys that attend Bolton Center School. I have lived in Bolton for 15 years and have always enjoyed being actively involved in our community.  In the past, I have volunteered as an EMT for the Bolton Fire Department and Co-Chaired the Bolton Women’s Club Halloween Party at BCS. I am a member of the Bolton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Bolton Women’s Club. I started the Bolton Special Education PTA  (SEPTA) and was the President of that organization.  In the Fall of 2013, Bolton SEPTA made the decision to join forces (and resources) with the Bolton PTA and SEPTA is now a committee of the regular PTA.

The mission and goals of the PTA and the future of our kids education is extremely important to me. I believe every child should have the opportunity to reach their individual potential. The PTA provides many things that enrich our children’s lives both at school and throughout town. I will do my best to continue the excellent job the PTA has has always done in assisting the parents, teachers and students of Bolton.  I am proud to be part of such a wonderful organization and working with such a dedicated group of parents and staff. Please feel free to email me  at dagataar@gmail.com if you have any thoughts, ideas or questions about the Bolton PTA or upcoming events.

Thank You,
Amy D’Agata
PTA President
